Our August event was facilitated by Lorissa Garcia, who sharpened our focus on workplace rituals. Lorissa introduced us to the research behind the process that she and collaborator Lotty Roberts have developed. She then led us through that process to interpret rituals in our own work lives.

Workplace rituals are those deliberate actions which build shared identity through doing something symbolic and meaningful together. They are different to routines or habits, and the session drew our attention to the value of mindfully co-creating them with the people we work with. By taking the initiative we can contribute to creating meaningful rituals which serve to facilitate shared understanding amongst people who work together.
